The history of Jelly Belly
By admin | July 26, 2008
Jelly Belly is a candy company that is best known for their sweet products such as the Jelly Belly Jelly Beans, Jelly Belly sours, and more. Jelly Belly is not the original name of the company. The California-based company used to be called as the Herman Goelitz Candy Company. As of the moment, the Jelly Belly Candy Company is distributing as much as 34 million pounds of various sweets all over the world.
The Jelly Beans became one of the most popular products of the candy company. As a matter of fact, even the former president of United States, Ronald Raegan, endorsed the Jelly Beans when he was still at the White House. The former president keeps a jar of Jelly Beans in his desk if he is staying at the White House and another jar of Jelly Beans if he is in Air Force One.
Ronald Raegan loved the candy beans so much that he even sent some packs of the jelly beans in outer space last 1983. He sent the candies to the astronauts as a surprise through the 1983 Challenger shuttle.
Thank David Klein for making various flavors of the jelly beans that kids and young at heart enjoy today.
